It has really been fun to find your web site and have a look at Choiceland where I was born and brought up. My parents were Arthur and Ainsley Tourond. Our homestead farm was bought by Stella Shymanski and her husband. We have just put a marker up on the corner of the farm! It is great to come back visit the Shymanski family from time to time! Hey! I lived in Choiceland a couple times now when i was really little, i started school there and then ended up graduating there!! Love that place so much and miss it! I come back everytime i come home from university, it truly is my home town C: |

Hey,
Just been thinking about old times in and around Choiceland, and came across this site on the web. I haven't been back to Choiceland in years. Our family is contemplating on moving to Saskatchewan.We have lived in BC all our lives.We would like to raise our daughter in a clean safe community in Saskatchewan. We ran across your site, and was very impressed. We are wondering if there is any employment opportunities? My husband is in construction/commercial landscaping, and I am in the health care field. I also have a tourism degree. Any local advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Hello,
Wanting to avoid realtor costs for you, I am looking to possible purchase a beautiful piece of land, approx 40 acres (less - more?).
Please forward this message onto any nice people who may want to subdivide a well treed, good soiled property where renting some of the land out for crop production is possible.

This year was the third time I have visited Choiceland, to be exact, the Townsend family. I am from Germany, spending the summers in Canada, visiting friends I made in the past 5 years.
I love Saskatchewan, the wide open land, the silence, the blue blue sky.
This time I experienced the surroundings of Choiceland: towns like Smeaton, Candle Lake and the open fields. I will come back as often as I can - in summer. Winter sure will be something else.

Hi,
I have fond memories of Choiceland when my family travelled to visit my grandparents, Susan and Author Backstrom. My parents are coming up that way to visit my Gramma in the next week or so. I wished I could introduce my daughter to Choiceland and friends who I have met throughout the years. One day I will take her to the Homecoming. |

Hi to all.Just looking for a map of Choiceland.I had a great conversation with Mr.Dale Bell,tonite.Picking his brain for information about my family that resided there back in the day.If the names "Thomas A. Mckee (1880 - 1960)married to Loretta J. Mckee nee.Henderson(1895-1984)" rings a bell to anyone, I would greatly appreciate any known facts and history of this family. Our family joined the community of Choiceland about 10 months ago. Needless to say we are all very happy with our decision to make Choiceland our home and raise our family here. I have personally travelled to, worked and lived in many different places in many different lands, including coast to coast to coast in this great land of Canada and from all of these experiences I can say without doubt that Choiceland is where I have been the most comfortable and happiest. At last we are home. |
