The natural terrain of Choiceland is quite flat. It is well treed, is set in some of the handsomest farming country in the west. Choiceland is close to several provincial parks and is the "Choice Route" to the famous Hanson Lake road which is publicized as being an area that is virtually untouched by man.
Choiceland is not only noted for its curling enthusiasm but for the ability of its curlers on the three-sheet rink of artificial ice, which is used by young and old alike.
Choiceland can also boast of a skating arena where there are many winter activities.
Recreational facilities also include a 90-metre high down-hill ski resort which has a Quad Chair Lift with a length of 610 meters which runs from .8 – 1.6 km in length. The resort is located 25 km. South of Choiceland, on the south side of the Saskatchewan River. The Choiceland-Gronlid Committee, which includes many other towns and villages, established the area under Regional park Status. With the addition of a snow maker in 1994, the season has now been extended.
